Tourism

Only a few kilometres away from the Rhine-Main-Neckar conurbations, Heppenheim is readily accessible on both the well-developed motorway network as well as via the picturesque country roads or by rail.
Whether you stroll through the lanes of the old town with their Mediaeval feeling or visit the historic Marktplatz (market square) or the Kurmainzer Amtshof (Elector of Mainz’ tithe house) housing the Museum of Local History and Folklore, Heppenheim will enchant you.

Nor should you miss the opportunity to take a walk to Starkenburg Castle on Schlossberg Hill. The castle, after which the entire region was named, permits a splendid panoramic view across the town, the Odenwald and the Rhine Valley.

Heppenheim, the romantic district capital and wine and theatre festival town on the Bergstrasse, is always worth the trip! Our regular visitors will be more than happy to confirm the veracity of our advertising slogan!
